Volvo recommends maintaining a charge between 20 and 90 percent for everyday driving to maximize the battery's longevity. For refills during longer road trips beyond Bernalillo, the 2024 Volvo C40 Recharge offers a peak DC fast-charging rate of up to 200 kW (up from 150 kW in previous years). At a compatible charging station, it can replenish the battery from 10% to 90% in as fast as 28 minutes.
