Want to check out your car yourself? Here's a look at some of the vital components of your car and how to determine if you need them serviced as soon as possible.
Tire Pressure & Tread Depth
Perhaps one of the most important – and most overlooked – parts of your vehicle is your set of tires. All four tires keep you on the road and keep you driving safe, but if your tires have either insufficient tread or tire pressure, then you could be at a serious risk for an accident. Examine your tires to see if they need to be either replaced or filled with air. You can check your tire's tread depth by placing a penny inside the grooves and seeing how deep it goes. If the top of Lincoln's head is visible, then you need new tires.
Oil & Oil Filter
Many people recommend changing your oil every three months of 3,000 miles, but the specific time and distance depends on your vehicle, especially if you have a newer vehicle. Check your owner's manual to see how often you should change your oil and filter.
Battery
Your car's battery powers the engine, starter, and other electronics found in your vehicle. If you notice that you are having a hard time starting the vehicle, your vehicle is stalling out, or your accessories are faulty, you may need a new battery. You can also pop the hood to check the battery for any dirt, debris, damage, or corrosion.
Air Filter
Have you noticed that your car isn’t as fuel efficient as it used to be? Or maybe it's just not accelerating as well? Chances are, you need a new air filter. Head over to our service center to get your air filter replaced for better performance and efficiency.
